Machiya Guesthouse Holiday Rental --  A tranqil yet convenient location near downtown Sanjo-Keihan Station, within walking distance of 24 hour convenicnce store, cafes, restaurants, public bathhouse, shopping street, and all the famous tourist spots.


Central location along the Shirakawa canal -- East of Sanjo station, South of Heian Shrine, North of Maruyama park/Yazsaka Shrine, and West of the historic Higashiyama temple district. The house is located along the rickshaw course between the Gion geisha district and Heian Shrine, one of the oldest and most important Shinto sites in the world.  You can’t find a better base for exploring Kyoto.


All the amenities you would expect - full kitchen, bath, toilet, laundry machine, comfortable futons in one room and a double bed in the other, as well as free wireless internet (BYO laptop!)  There are two bicycles for guest use.


Sleeps up to four comfortably, six if there are children. -- two rooms upstairs, one Japanaese tatami room with veranda, the other a western style room with double bed. Downstairs there is a dining/kitchen area, living room, garden, and bath. Air conditioners, fans, and heaters upstairs and down.
